Rasika has been with Ceylon Tobacco Company for the past 17 years and currently functions as the Area Manager responsible for 80% tobacco leaf grown/ produced in Sri Lanka for the company.

His expertise is on the fields of agronomy and extension services and is a guest lecturer for the Universities of Peradeniya, Uva Wellassa and Wayamba.

He is currently a MPhill student of the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
