An experienced quality and technical management professional, with nearly 20 years of experience in the food & beverage and dairy sector.

During the last 8 years I have been extensively involved in quality management of less well-developed local dairy supply chains. I have gained deeper understanding in both technical and non-technical aspects, influence the quality and food safety of such supply chains.

Working with a larger number of supply sources and dealing with small individual milk volumes present a significant challenge in terms of quality and food safety standards. Understanding risks is key and managing those with countermeasures and the use of appropriate technology is a part of my role. I have a lot to share in terms of policy related options, technology & management options and attitudinal changes that could be effectively used in bringing in a continuous improvement if not a step changes in local agricultural supply chains. I have exposure to both the developed and less well-developed dairy supply chains outside Sri Lanka as well.
